Wismec Reuleaux RX Gen3 Review: A Shrunken Reuleaux

So we’re back to playing with the big dogs. And by “big dogs” I mean those powerful, cloud-chuckers that try to compete with one another to see who can give off the biggest, volcano-like clouds.

This time we have a box mod kit from Wismec, the Reuleaux RX Gen3, which is a combination of sorts of all three of Wismec’s popular and well-received entries in its Reuleaux line, the RX200, RX300, and the RX Mini.

Wismec Reuleaux RX Gen3 Review

The RX Gen3 integrates some of the features of those devices that made them so great, like a power output of nearly 300W in a device that is small, and portable. Another similarity to those antecedents is the box mod design, which was done by JayBo and features a central 1.3 inch OLED screen and three-button control.

I’m more a fan of the JayBo designs than Wismec’s collaboration with Sinuous, which took the mods in a different direction regarding their shape and overall aesthetic appeal. The Sinuous designs were too in-your-face and macho like they had too much to prove.

JayBo doesn’t go overboard with mechanical and metallic accents or studly side-panels, but he still includes features that complement the mod’s powerful internals rather than trying to compete with them. The Wismec Reuleaux RX Gen3 comes with the gnarly-looking Gnome sub-ohm tank that is a top-fill tank and has two drip tip options.

In The Package

Here’s what you’ll receive with your purchase of the Wismec Reuleaux RX Gen3:

  • One Reuleaux RX Gen3 box mod (batteries sold separately)
  • One Gnome tank
  • One WM02 0.15ohm coil head
  • One WM03 0.2ohm coil head
  • One QC USB charging/upgrade cable
  • Two instruction manuals
  • Two warning cards
  • One bag of spare parts

pecial Traits

So the “3” in the Gen3’s product title not only refers to its place in the Reuleaux lineage, but it also relates to the three 18650 batteries needed to power the device. Three batteries! In a device that measures only 114mm in height with the tank attached, and a little less than 50mm in thickness.

There’s a lot crammed into this device. Apart from the aforementioned 1.3 inch OLED screen, the three cell power supply, the mod also features a bottom-loading battery door with a side-venting slit to cool your batteries.

There is the 510 stainless steel connector pin on top that is recessed further into the body of the mod than most of the other Reuleaux mods. This more depressed 510 connector pin eliminates any potential gap between an atomizer and the body of the mod.

The rest of the mod is similar to other Reuleaux devices. The firing button is right above the OLED screen, which, of course, comes emblazoned with the JayBo logo. There are two selector buttons underneath the screen, where the USB port is also located.

As for grip and portability, without a tank attached, the mod itself just disappears into your fist. Putting it in your pocket though, might feel a little awkward (it did when I did) since it the mod is somewhat wider than other devices, like the just reviewed Eleaf BASAL.

But then again, for the power output that you’re getting, be glad that Wismec didn’t saddle you with a dump-truck sized device. The Gnome tank, just like a real gnome, is stubby, short, and fat. It has a 4 ml capacity, with a 2ml capacity option for TPD countries, and the two coils it comes with, the new WM coils, offer both low-wattage and high-wattage vaping capacities.

One WM coil has two cylinders, and the second has three, which allows for better airflow, and is excellent for cloud production. The top cap and mouthpiece can be pushed back to reveal the fill port underneath, which was a little small for my taste.

My Experience Using the Gen3

Wismec and JayBo have wisely decided to go with a similar user interface (practically the same) on the RX Gen3 as most of the other Reuleaux models. The vaping output modes on the Wismec Reuleaux RX Gen3 are also little changed from past iterations.

You click the firing button five times to turn the device on, and three times to get into the various menus and modes you can choose from. The OLED screen is a few millimeters larger than the screens on other Reuleaux mods and its read beautifully, the illumination is great, and the readouts were all legible and easy to navigate.

Turning on the screen, you’ll first be greeted by the standard wattage readout, with the three other readouts displaying your coil resistance, voltage, and puff counter all of them housed in three hexagonal shapes.

The vaping modes are nothing new; you have your standard three-metal option temperature control, variable wattage, and your TCR mode. So, not much innovation there. The temperature and resistance ranges (200F-600F, and 0.05ohms-3.0ohms, respectively) also fall within what comes standard with most three-celled, and high-wattage devices these days.

Vaping All That Flavor

The two coils that come with the Wismec Reuleaux RX Gen3 kit lean more towards flavor purists than cloud chasers. The coils don’t come anywhere near to handling the output that the RX Gen3 can muster but that’s not necessarily a bad thing, especially for those of us who like to savor our clouds, rather than our clouds savoring us.

I used the pre-installed WM2 0.15ohm coil head that vapes best between 30W and 70W, but I started a little lower at 45W. I got lukewarm cloud production that was still a little vacant of flavor. Impatient, I maxed out the coil to its 75W limit, and that’s when things started cooking.

I tasted all the notes of my Black Note Adagio tobacco flavored e-juice and had superb cloud production. Swapping out the 0.15ohm coil for the higher-wattage, e-juice sucking 0.2ohm coil, I started out not-so-high at around 90W (recommend range on the WM3 coil is 40-130W).

And that brought me to next-level vaping, fo’ sure. There was an abundance of cloud, and exquisitely subtle, but multi-layered flavor. I was so glad at my 90W level that I didn’t push the device any closer to its 130W maximum, but I was still surprised since I wasn’t expecting to get such tasty clouds, but there they were.

The airflow, both in the coils and in the Gnome tanks made some difference with the WM2 since I could at least approach a mouth-to-lung hit with some restricted airflow. But even leaving those airflow vents wide open with the higher resistance coils didn’t exactly leave my head in the clouds.

The Reuleaux RX Gen3 and Other Good Box Mods

Now it would be easy to compare the Reuleaux to its brand-mates, the RX200 or RX300, but I thought about how it would fare against a device from another brand, Vaporesso, and their most potent device to date, the Vaporesso Revenger 220W mod.

I’m not sure why, but Vaporesso and Wismec, to me at least, are very similar companies. I’m not sure if they are two completely different companies or if they are two imprints on the same label, but they both deliver high-quality, higher-end, technologically advanced units, and on a consistent basis.

The Revenger mod, which was reviewed by my fellow vapingdaily.com reviewer, but still used by me, had the now-famous Omni chipset that Vaporesso includes in most all of their devices. The Omni enables it and all other Vaporesso mods to use that most coveted vaping feature, custom curve settings.

The coils and tanks on the Revenger, (I believe the kit came with the NRG tank, and GT coils) gave off both great tasting, and lengthy cloud streams since those coils vaped at much lower wattages. So, just for the level of customization available on the Vaporesso Revenger, I think it does win this contest.

SIZE

The fact that JayBo and Wismec could pack so much punch into a device that could easily disappear into a closed fist is remarkable. It’s smaller than most other Reuleaux devices, and still has more power output than most of them, except the RX300, obviously.

POWER OUTPUT

I lamented, in my review of the TFV12 Cloud Beast King and it’s huge twelve-coiled V12-T12 coil head that there only a handful of devices that could even vape at the levels it could withstand. And a few weeks later, the RX Gen3 lands on my desk. I think I’m going to have to marry these two beasts of vaping.

EASE OF USE

I mean, this might not be the most straightforward device in the world to use if you’re a beginner, but given my experience on all the other Reuleaux machines I’ve reviewed, picking up the RX Gen3 and using it felt like second nature.

RX GEN3 Dual by Wismec -

THE COILS

The coils performed adequately enough, although I would’ve have liked to see an option compatible with the potential of the RX Gen3.

A Pocket Cloud-Chucker

I, for one, was pleased to see another Wismec/JayBo collabo’ land on my desk. Especially after the lackluster performance of the Sinuous FJ200. It was good to see a familiar face, although the face was a little too familiar.

I appreciated the new coils, the Gnome tank had some cool features, but it was nothing revolutionary, and the absence of any new vaping modes or outputs left me a little disappointed. If you are looking to be carrying around a cloud-chucker in your pocket, but even that would be a bit uncomfortable, the Wismec Reuleaux RX Gen3 is great for you.

Me, I’m going to enjoy a few vapes on the low-wattage, but sexy-looking Eleaf BASAL, my new favorite, portable, smooth-operator.

Smok TFV8 Big Baby Beast Tank Review

Focus On www.ave40.com For More Vape Tank.

One of the things that determine the kind of vaping experience you will have is the type of device you use. Your vaping kit allows you to enjoy the taste of your e-liquid to the fullest as well as get a good throat hit and produce gigantic clouds of vapor.

You can have the most delicious e-liquid, but without the right vaping gear, you may not enjoy vaping it so much. The vaping market is growing at a rapid pace. New, advanced devices are being released every day.

Of all the components that make up a vaping kit, your tank is probably the most important. This is where you load your e-juice and also where the heat is generated through the coils to produce vapor. You need a good mod, just as much as you need a good tank. One of the best tanks on the market is the Smok TFV8 Big Baby Beast Tank.

The TFV8 Big Baby Beast Tank is a classic device from Smok.  This tank part of the TFV 8 line which includes the Cloud Beast, the Big Baby, and the Big Baby Beast. Both the Big Baby and the Big Baby Beast use the same type of coils.

TFV8 Big Baby Beast can hold 5ml of e-juice. It is about 24.5 mm wide and 56 mm tall.

This Smok tank has a lovely packaging design. It comes in a rectangular cardboard box. The packaging includes three different pre-built coil heads: the V8 Baby X4, the V8 Baby T6, and the V8 Baby RBA. Inside the box, you will also find the tank, a manual, extra O-rings, two extra glass sleeves, and some vape bands.

There are two versions of the TFV8 Big Baby Beast tank: the black version and the stainless steel version.

The tank has a big drip tip. The device comes with a 510 adaptor so you can use your own drip tip. The tank has a top-filling design. All you need to do is slide the top cap to the side to fill the tank. It is very easy to refill the tank. You don’t have to dismantle it to do so. The airflow slots on the TFV8 Big Baby Beast are somewhat bigger than the ones on the Baby Beast. This means it will give you bigger clouds of vapor.

The base unscrews easily to reveal the coil head when you want to change your coil. The tank comes pre-installed with the V8 Baby T6 coil. This coil has a resistance of 0.15 ohm and a wattage range of 30  to 70 Watts.

The Smok TFV8 tank can easily be taken apart when you need to clean it. Each part comes off easily. You can unscrew the base, unscrew the coil, and take off the glass.

Soupwire has many fantastic vape deals that you can take advantage of to save money. You can subscribe to this store to receive notifications about fantastic opportunities.

The Smok TFV8 Big Baby Beast Tank is designed to give you a great vaping experience. Whether you are a cloud chaser or a flavor chaser, this tank doesn’t disappoint

You do not need to be an advanced vaper to enjoy sub ohm vaping with the Smok TFV8 Big Baby Beast. This tank is suitable for all vapers, whether you are a novice or an experienced vaper. With a powerful mod and the TFV8 Big Baby Beast tank, you’re good to go.

AUGVAPE Templar RDA Review: This is One BADASS RDA

The AUGVAPE Templar RDA is a small, heavy-hitting 22mm RDA tank that is as versatile as it is pretty. I REALLY like it…

Focus On www.urvapin.com For Best Vape Tanks.

My review of the mod is coming next week, and today we’re going to be focussing on the AUGVAPE Templar RDA.

This 22mm RDA tank is a very interesting piece of kit for a variety of reasons:

#1 – the deck
#2 – the price
#3 – how it vapes

It can also squonk and run in single-coil mode.

Basically, it’s a master of all things RDA.

I just spent a week testing it out.

What follows is my full verdict on the tank, warts and all.

AUGVAPE Templar RDA Review: Design

AUGVAPE Templar RDA

This RDA is very compact and discreet. Way more so than the Bonza RDA and Dead Rabbit RDA.

It’s only 22mm, so compared to the BONZA it kinda feels like a sports car in comparison.

The AUGVAPE Templar RDA sits pretty on all my mods, especially the V200, and looks very premium with its matte black exterior, silver logo, and unique airflow holes.

The overall “feel” of the AUGVAPE Templar RDA is one of robustness; it feels solid and well put together.

The airflow holes are located pretty low, so it will leak if you overfill.

AUGVAPE Templar RDA

Take the top section off and you will see a jigsaw-style machining along the bottom. This is used to adjust the airflow.

It’s a little fiddly at first, but once you get a feel for the placements you can really switch things up.

Personally, I find the AUGVAPE Templar RDA works best wide open.

You will also need to lube the o-rings as well; the top section is REALLY secured to the bottom half.

A bit lube makes things come apart a little easier.

AUGVAPE Templar RDA

The tank does get a little mucky with use. This is down to its squat dimensions and low airflow positioning.

I tend to keep a tissue with me when using rebuildable atomizer tanks, as leaks can and do happen.

You should probably do the same when using the Templar RDA.

AUGVAPE Templar RDA Specs & Features

  • 22mm wide x 26mm high
  • 810 compatible drip tip
  • Dual airflow with single coil option
  • Velocity style clamp deck

AUGVAPE Templar RDA Deck

AUGVAPE Templar RDA

For me, the Templar RDA’s deck is the real star of the show.

It is super-simple to build on. Even for someone that has never used an RDA before.

It uses a velocity style deck, only here there is a single screw to tighten and secure both leads.

Installing coils is a doddle. Seriously, it takes less than 60 seconds to do both.

Once they’re in, you clip the leads and secure them by tightening the screw.

AUGVAPE Templar RDAAUGVAPE Templar RDA

Wick them up, and you’re vaping.

You can – and will – get around 20-30 puffs with decent wicking, however, so in this regard, I don’t really have any complaints.

The ease with which you can set this tank up is a massive USP. The deck, the wicking, the way everything this positioned. It’s just so easy.

And you can fit pretty much any size coils inside it too. I’ve been working my way through the Coil Master Skynet coil pack, which you can check out below:

AUGVAPE Templar RDA Performance

The Templar is a BIG hitter in the vaping department. I’ve been using it solidly for a couple of weeks now and I am more than impressed.

The flavor is precise and the airflow is very smooth.

There is a slight bit of resistance on the draw too, which only adds to the experience.

The way it vapes reminds me a lot of the Wotofo Lush Plus RDA, and, yes, that is a good thing, because that RDA is one of the best in the business for flavor performance.

AUGVAPE Templar RDA

I’ve tested a bunch of RDAs recently, and I have to say the Templar is easily one of my favourites. I actually prefer it to both the Bonza RDA and the Dead Rabbit RDA.

It’s easier to set up, it produces great flavor, and it looks really cool on all styles of mods from box mods to tube mechs.

If you’re a flavor chaser, the Templar RDA comes highly recommended.

The airflow is great and it doesn’t spit anywhere near as much as the Dead Rabbit or Bonza. It’s a lot less forgiving when it comes to bad wicking, basically.

And this makes it an ideal choice for newbie vapers.

AUGVAPE Templar RDA Squonk Performance

The AUGVAPE Templar RDA can also do squonking, as any RDA worth it salt should in 2018.

And it does it perfectly fine as well.

My only criticism would be that you can very easily squonk too much vape juice into the chamber, and this creates leaking.

As I noted earlier, the Templar doesn’t have very big juice wells.

So you need to go very lightly when squonking, otherwise, it just gets messy.

You can also run the Templar in single coil mode, though it is 100% better in dual-coil mode.

You can get an MTL vape on it in single coil mode if you dial the airflow down to its tightest setting, but this isn’t something I spent a lot of time doing.

There are better single coil options out there if this is something you want to do.

The Templar RDA is designed to be a dual-coil, heavy hitting RDA and that’s what it WANTS to do.

It can do single coil mode, but it just doesn’t do it all that well. The flavor isn’t as good and the airflow feels weird.

This RDA wants to do things BIG and you should respect that.

Run it in dual-coil mode with a couple of fat coils and you’ll be on cloud nine. Literally.

Just make sure you open some windows if you’re vaping indoors because this thing is a BEAST in that regard.

Templar by Augvape – a new hit? With such a base easily!

On our website, you repeatedly could see reviews on devices from the company Augvape . This manufacturer is popular with vamps around the world due to the fact that it makes interesting and original products at reasonable prices. That there is only one Druga , which even after a lot of time after the presentation is perfectly sold. Once again, the guys decided to confirm their reputation with the help of a new dribbling – Templar .

Focus On www.ave40.com For More Vape Tanks.

Templar by Augvape - a new hit? With such a base easily!
I can say at once that in this drip I do not like everything. Well, I just do not like this design. The whole “two-tiered” is not for me. Reminds a couple of drips, which in due time was presented by company Youde. The only thing that, in my opinion, corrects the situation – Ultem cap. Here in this configuration I like the novelty – it looks much fresh and interesting. There is no exact information, but there are data that “walk” through the network – diameter 22 mm, height 26 mm.

Technical characteristics :

I think, many of you will agree with me that this is a drip for those who like big spirals and piles. If you want – direct heir to Druga . The producer himself states that a drip was created for the flavoring soaring, and it seems to me that success is guaranteed to the novelty. I want to note that there was not yet an official release from the manufacturer, so it is worthwhile to understand that some moments may change. Although, the network has so many images of new items that it seems unlikely to me.
Templar by Augvape - a new hit? With such a base easily!Templar by Augvape - a new hit? With such a base easily!
The most interesting part in Templar is the base. Here the guys tried and attracted the attention of the public they got from the very first photo in instagram. At first I thought that something was implemented in the style of Crius RDA , or rather Petri . But, as it turned out, everything is so simple. Yes, the fixing screw here is one, but instead of the helix installation sites, there are ordinary holes. To judge how convenient it is I will not, until I try. By the way, the manufacturer calls his system – ” Velocity Clamp System “.
Templar by Augvape - a new hit? With such a base easily!
With blowing strongly did not become wise. For this question, there are two sets of three slots in the skirt of the case here. Adjustment, as I understand it, occurs by turning the top cap. By the way, in the case of Ultem cap, the possibility of setting the airflow disappears. Two things, to be honest. If I want to make my dripku more stylish, I will lose the ability to adjust the tightening by myself? It’s a shame it turns out 🙂
Templar by Augvape - a new hit? With such a base easily!
There are a couple of things I want to say about. Firstly, this is the top cap from Ultem, which we mentioned above. Personally for me, this accessory has also practical value – do not be afraid to burn your lips, even if you constantly fry. Secondly, the kit comes with a special plug for the use of drips in single-spiral mode. I have a feeling that potential buyers will not be much interested in this, but the very presence of an accessory pleases. Well, about the existence of a pin for Squonk, I will not even write 🙂
